Samsung Galaxy F42 5G has arrived on Google Play Console just days ahead of its launch in India, revealing more key details about the phone. As expected, this Google Play Console listing divulged some key details about the imminent smartphone. Moreover, the listing corroborates some previously leaked details about the Galaxy F42 5G. Furthermore, it reiterates that the upcoming handset is a rebranded version of the Galaxy Wide5.

To recall, the Galaxy Wide5 was launched in South Korea this month. The South Korean variant sports a 6.6-inch AMOLED display that offers FHD+ resolution, and packs a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset under the hood. Moreover, it houses a 64MP quad-camera setup at the back. The phone draws its juices from a 5,000mAh battery.

The Galaxy F42 5G was originally spotted on Google Play Console by noted leaker Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings). The listing suggests that the phone will pack an MT6833 (Mediatek Dimensity 700) chipset under the hood. Aside from that, it will come with a Mali G57 GPU. The device will ship with 8GB of RAM. The phone’s display delivers a resolution of 1080×2009 pixels and a pixel density of 450PPI. The phone runs Android 11 OS with One UI 3.0 skin on top.

Previously Leaked Details

A microsite for Samsung Galaxy F42 5G on Flipkart confirmed that the device will sport a 6.6-inch AMOLED panel with an FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. Furthermore, the screen comes with an Infinity-V notch on top that accommodates the 8MP front shooter. The phone will come with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM. Aside from that, it is likely to ship with 128GB of onboard storage capacity.

In the optics department, the phone could house three rear-mounted cameras including a 64MP main camera and night mode. Aside from that, it will feature a 5MP ultra-wide lens with 115-degree FOV and a 2MP depth sensor. Moreover, a robust 5,000mAh battery will be powering up the entire system. This battery will reportedly support 15W wired charging.

As far as software is concerned, the phone is tipped to run Android 11 OS out of the box with OneUI on top. Other notable features include USB C for charging, GPS, Bluetooth, dual-band WiFi, 4G, and 12 5G bands. The Galaxy Wide5 carries a KRW 449,900 (about INR 28,200) price tag.
