NVIDIA AD107-400 has been pictured
While NVIDIA might have been reluctant to confirm which GPU specifically goes into the RTX 4060 graphics card, hardware leaker MEGAsizeGPU leaves no doubt it is the AD107-400.
Not all board partners were ready to showcase their RTX 4060 non-Ti graphics cards, for a good reason. This SKU is set to launch in July, so there is still plenty of time for such an introduction. Yet, NVIDIA decided to introduce all RTX 4060 cards at once, but the company did not share all the details on these cards yet.
Only a handful of AIBs mentioned that RTX 4060 uses AD107 GPU, but the variant was only a domain of speculation. The card was said to feature “400” model of the AD107, the smallest Ada Lovelace GPU. The 400 typically means this is a full GPU, which in this case is true for RTX 4060 with 3072 CUDA cores.
The GPU is even smaller than predecessors, measuring only 146 mm², while it is typically 200 mm² for this class. This data was already confirmed by the GPU vendor since there are GeForce RTX 40 Laptop cards featuring this processor. Furthermore, we learn that the card pictured by the leaker is to feature at least two SK Hynix memory modules.
As said, the RTX 4060 non-Ti will launch in July, but there is no release date yet. The fact that we have a real photo of the GPU likely means that AIBs already have those processors at hand, which is a good sign.
