Multiple brush fires around the state have caused delays for rail service.

New Jersey Transit has resumed limited service on the Northeast Corridor Line between New York Penn Station and Metropark.

“Customers should listen carefully to announcements in New York,” the company wrote on Twitter.

NJ Transit says that customers should seek alternate transportation for stations between Metuchen and Trenton.

Cross-honoring remains in effect.

Amtrak also announced delays due to the fires.

The New Jersey Forest Fire Service says that North Jersey is at high risk for forest fires. South Jersey is at moderate risk.
