A new Digitimes report regarding Apple’s iPad claims Apple plans to host a “series of product launch conferences in September.” We’ve already heard multiple reports that we can expect the iPhone 13 to launch next month, and it makes sense that Apple might debut more than one new product at this event, just like it did last year with iPhone 12, currently Apple’s best iPhone. Digitimes indicates a new base model iPad, rumored for a slight redesign, will be announced at one of these September events.

According to reports, Apple is also planning to release a new Apple Watch Series 7, new entry-level AirPods, a new iPad mini 6, and new mini-LED MacBook models. Last year Apple held an event in September, October, and November, and the prospect of multiple events in one month would certainly be an unusual one. The new iPad Digitimes is referring to is expected to be a major internal upgrade to Apple’s best-value iPad. From a report this week:

In a new Power On video for Bloomberg, Gurman listed planned upgrades and expectations for Apple’s iPhone 13, new AirPods, and a new iPad mini, as well as plans for a new ninth-generation iPad:

… as well as a new ninth-generation iPad, geared towards students, with a thinner form factor and faster processor.
